The side dishes are called "banchan". Been huge on Korean cuisine since I fell in love with K-dramas 3-4 years back. I know what you mean with the bbq pork/beef/chicken etc and tasting the explosion of tastes when feasting on it. You should try the Crystal Jade Korean BBQ and Ginseng Chicken (if I got it right) outlet at Takashimaya. Go for the 2 person BBQ set (I think). It has a good variety of meats (including the fatty meat) and the banchan is free! Any the bbq meats, I enjoy the dish where you wrap the pork with a piece of lettuc, some kimchi/radish and then stuff the whole chunk into the mouth. SEDAP! Another good place for Korean food is Shillawon at Suntec. Check that out too. Lunch there cos it's much cheaper that having the same dish during dinner. :) I love Korean food!
